People have been telling me that FFA Pages are Dead. They've been
telling me this for years. So-called "gurus" usually tell me this
right before they try to sell me on their particular brand of
advertising.
And they may have a point but for my money, it depends on which side
of the FFA Page Ad you are on.
You won't catch me posting my links to an FFA Page but I definitely
like the results I get from hosting my own FFA Page.
Let's be realistic. If you are posting your links to an FFA Page
and thinking that someone is going to see your ads, you are really missing
the boat when it comes to FFA Page ads. Someone might stumble on to an
FFA Page full of links but when is the last time you actually sat and
read down the list of ads on any FFA Page?
I teach my affiliates when it comes to FFA Pages:
HOST... Don't Post!
By this I mean that when you host your own FFA Page, you are letting someone
else run that little one line ad/link on your page and in return, they are
agreeing to receive a full blown email ad from you.
Now... you don't have to be an advertising guru or any kind of genius to
realize that a full blown ad is going to out produce a single line ad any
day of the week.
Use a powerful subject line for the email ad you send out and your response
rate can be fairly impressive.
I think Stan Stuchinski, founder of The Popular Big Dogs Program, said it best when he
said:
"It is our contention that, although FFA network performance has declined over
the last few years, marketing leads derived in this manner STILL remain as the
most cost effective and responsive available, compared to virtually every other
lead source on the Internet."
Stan's comments are based on his own personal tests measuring things like:
- Total Clicks on his Email Ad that he sent to people posting links to his FFA Page.
- Cost Per Click.
- Total Sales generated by his Email Ad.
- Cost Per Sale.
All in all, compared to other methods of advertising used by Stan to promote his
ebook, results from his FFA Page memberships proved to be considerably better
than anything else.
Personally, I get my best results from building my own in-house lists with autoresponders
and a combination of search engine ads, ezine ads, classifieds, and yes... even FFA Page Ads.
On average, I get anywhere from 1 to 4 clicks on my FFA Page ads each day. That means
anywhere from 30 to 120 new targeted visitors each month.
So do I love FFA Page advertising? Not really. But I'll take every new visitor I
can get and when my FFA Page Ad is bringing in 30 to 120 new visitors a month, I'm
sure not going to let it go. Especially for as little as it costs me!
HINT: to get the most of your FFA Page Ads that are going out, direct interested
prospects to request your Autoresponder information so you can follow up with them automatically!
So the question for you is:
Which Side Of The FFA Page Do You Want To Be On?
